Recurve is thrilled to welcome Jeff Soplop as its new Chief Operating Officer!

Jeff brings an idiosyncratic mixture of a zeal for efficiency combined with a lifelong love of surfing, cliff jumping, and trail running to the Recurve team. He also brings more than 15 years of experience in energy management, intelligent buildings, and analytics, which come in handy when the surf is flat.

Prior to joining Recurve, Jeff was responsible for the P&L, strategy, vision, product roadmap, and operations for the energy line of business and market-leading Energy Manager SaaS products at Dude Solutions. Before that, he was part of ICF’s energy innovation and engagement team and oversaw a portfolio of technology and data analytics initiatives across a range of utility demand side management offerings such as behavioral energy, loyalty, and building analytics programs.

Jeff’s experience also includes leading research and development for several smart building and enterprise energy management SaaS providers using methods including predictive analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, fault detection and diagnostic algorithms, and model-predictive control software.

Jeff holds a BS in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University, an MA in Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill, and an MS in Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He lives in the woods outside of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with his partner, their three daughters, a hoop-jumping rescue pup, and a loveable hedgehog. His family insists that a recent test revealing Jeff has more Neanderthal DNA than just about any other human explains, well, everything.
